The Board of Trustees of the U. S. Naval Academy Alumni Association met for its regular meeting in Alumni Hall beginning at 0800 on December 6, 2012. Admiral Bob Natter ’67, USN (Ret.), Chair of the Board of Trustees, acted as chair of the meeting and Commander Lawrence Heyworth, III, ’70, USN (Ret.) acted as secretary of the meeting.
The Chair welcomed observers and determined that a quorum was present. Trustee LCDR Josh Welle, USN was absent on assignment on the west coast.
The following resolutions were adopted by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees:

- Approval of two new members to the Membership and Alumni Services Committee

- Approval of Quantico Chapter certification
In his remarks, the Chair provided an overview of what was discussed by the Executive Committee on December 5. He also advised that the Executive Committee had unanimously approved the authorization to transact business.
The Superintendent, Vice Admiral Michael Miller, USN, provided an update on the Naval Academy and answered questions.
During the committee reports, the Chair asked that staff provide the board background on the Chapter Down Under’s application for certification, which had been received too late for a complete review, so that an electronic vote can be taken before the May meeting.
Art Bryant ’66 led the Board and those present in singing 2 verses of Navy Blue and Gold.
The meeting adjourned at 1327.
